For Sports Direct there is a very interesting graph at the following link:


Sports Direct has had a website presence since the beginning of 2004 however there has been a low level of the public assessing their website until December 2008 at 22%, from this date there has been rapid growth of the usage of the Sports Direct website to reach 95% in December 2015.

The graph is calibrated as Interest over time, Numbers represent search interest relative to the highest point on the chart for the given region and time. A value of 100 is the peak popularity for the term. A value of 50 means that the term is half as popular. Likewise a score of 0 means the term was less than 1% as popular as the peak.

Comparing Sports Direct with a competitor J.D. Sports we see a very interesting comparison at the following link:


Sports Direct is 4% ahead of its Competitor JD Sports however apart from Christmas sales spikes in December Sports Direct is well ahead of JD Sports by an average of 25% for the rest of the year. This would suggest that Sports Direct website and company is a much more recognisable brand on the part of the public.
